Dry bag in which we carried our camera gear.

  • Life vests - orange ones on top of cabinet are for ship emergency; blue on hook are for wearing in Zodiac.
  • Part of dining room as well as some of staff.
  • Portion of lounge on main deck with some of our friends.
  • Bar in main lounge.
  • Ship followers - Black Browed albatross on left and Northern Giant Petrel on right.
  • Wandering Albatross - world's largest flying bird.  Wing span is about 10 feet and bird weighs about 20 pounds.
  • Royal Albatross on left and Cape Petrel on right.
  • Ice across route as far as one could see in either direction.
  • The danger was that the ice contained some rocks which had broken off as the glacier calved.
  • The ship navigated carefully through the ice . . .
  • Later  --- one of a numb er of icebergs which we viewed from the ship.

  • Incredible scenery everywhere we we got closer.
